The 2020 (RE)Vision series is co-sponsored by of CAIR-Chicago and the IL Muslim Civic Coalition.  The goal is to explore how community members can come together to better make sense of two pandemics—COVID-19 and racism—and ensure the necessary works in social justice and civic engagement yield inclusion, solidarity, equity, and progress for all.

The upcoming event on Wednesday, July 29th at 6 PM, “Combatting Uncertainty & Hate: Effects of COVID-19 and Anti-Black Racism on Asian, Latinx, & Muslim Communities”, will follow that goal through (mostly) legal advocacy lenses with understanding how these communities are making their efforts to build awareness and allyship.  Our very own Deputy Director Sufyan Sohel will moderate the panel.

See the flyer below for details, and be sure to RSVP at bit.ly/2020_REVISION.  You’ll receive the Zoom link info once you register.  You can watch on Facebook Live via IL Muslim Civic Coalition page.
