MEDIA ADVISORY: CAIR-Chicago to Host Press Conference with Recently Returned Doctors from Gaza and Jewish Leaders

- For Immediate Release and Distribution -

(CHICAGO, IL, 10/1/2024) – On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will hold a press conference with doctors who have recently returned from medical missions in Gaza, alongside Jewish leaders speaking in solidarity with the doctors in their humanitarian efforts. As we approach one year since the genocide in Gaza began, Chicago’s Palestinian American and American Muslim communities feel forgotten and ignored by the current presidential administration amidst rising international tensions.

Jewish Chicagoans will join in comradery with their Palestinian friends and neighbors on the eve of Rosh Hashanah to share how they are celebrating differently this year, while doctors will share the grim reality of treating patients in Gaza who have suffered and/or perished due to the violence.
