The Chicago office of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), along with members of the Chicago Libyan community, Syrian American Council Chicago, MAS (Muslim American Society), Zakat Foundation, and AMP (American Muslims for Palestine), will hold a candlelight vigil tonight to honor Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

On June 13th, CAIR-Chicago held a candlelight vigil in downtown Chicago to express solidarity and honor all those who have lost their lives or are suffering in Syria.

Join us at a candle light vigil for Syria tomorrow. To date, 13,000 have been killed, with as many as 100 or more dying every day. Many among the slain are women and children. The purpose of the candle light vigil is to express solidarity with the people of Syria and raise awareness locally about the need for the world to end its silence and help end the bloodshed.
Executive Director to Speak at Vigil for Gaza in Oak Park
CAIR-Chicago is asking community members to attend a vigil in Oak Park this coming Monday calling for an immediate cease-fire and end to the bombing, invasion, and siege of Gaza.
