CAIR-Chicago Community Outreach Post Chicagoland ISIS Arrest

CAIR-Chicago recognized the need to address the recent arrest of a Chicagoland teenager accused of wanting to travel to join ISIS in its larger community repercussions. Community Leader, Rasmea Odeh, Faces Trial Tuesday in Detroit Federal Court

Rasmea Odeh, 67, was arrested by agents of the Department of Homeland Security and charged with immigration fraud for allegedly “lying” on her citizenship application twenty years ago. Odeh is a Chicago Palestinian and respected Arab community organizer, haunted by a forty year old conviction in an Israeli military court. If found guilty, she could face up to ten years in federal prison, an immediate revocation of her citizenship, and deportation from the United States.
